One payment, for this version and every update to it. Sign in inside Tirona first — Settings › Tirona Pro — so the purchase attaches to the address you actually use and unlocks on every device you sign in on. The free version needs no account and never contacts us.
What you get
- Meeting notes. Transcribes a call on your Mac, block by block as it happens, and cleans each block up as it goes. Everyone is asked to have been told first — every time, with no way to switch that off.
- Continuous dictation. Double-tap and the microphone stays open until you stop it, for when you are thinking out loud rather than typing a sentence.
- Destinations. “Note to Obsidian: call the bank” goes to Obsidian as a note. Everything else lands where your cursor is, as before.
What stays free, permanently
Everything that was free before Pro existed stays free. Not for a while, not for existing users only — permanently. Nothing that shipped in the free version has been moved behind this page, and nothing will be.

Why one payment
Pro runs entirely on hardware you already own, so it costs us nothing per minute you use it. A one-time price against no ongoing cost is a fair trade that stays fair. Charging monthly for something that costs nothing to serve would only be a way of charging more.
The one thing that will not be sold this way is hosted transcription, if it is ever built — that has a real cost per minute, and a lifetime price against an unbounded cost is how those offers end badly for everyone.
How your purchase works
If you already have Tirona: sign in with your email — a link, no password — and Pro appears.
If you bought first: pay with any email address, and we send a sign-in link to that address automatically. Download Tirona, open it, then click the link — it signs you in and Pro is there. The link opens the app, so install it before clicking, and use the same address you paid with.
Either way Tirona then checks your purchase about once a month and remembers the answer for thirty days. No network, a plane, or this service disappearing entirely does not take away something you paid for; it only ever downgrades on a reply that actually said so.
One purchase covers every device you sign in on — your Mac and your phone, and iOS when it arrives. That is the reason there is an account at all: a key typed into one machine cannot follow you to the next one.
